Leaves the home of ex-Steeler Ted Petersen uninhabitable fire
MOMENCE, ill. (AP) — a fire ripped through the Illinois House of former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman and Super Bowl champion Ted Petersen. Petersen told il giornale newspaper in Kankakee blaze on Sunday that he left his home in rural in Kankakee County Momence uninhabitable "could have been much worse."The cause is under investigation.Firemen were able to retrieve Petersen 1979 and 1980 Super Bowl rings. Petersen played seven seasons with the Steelers. He is now the Athletic Director at Kankakee Community College Chief Fire Protection District Momence Monty Buchanan said flames were visible through the roof of the garage. He says that it took the crew approximately 45 minutes to get the blaze under control.Momence is about 60 km south of downtown Chicago.
